Blue-Green Deployment
A deployment strategy that maintains two identical environments (blue and green). At any time, one environment serves production traffic while the other is idle or being updated. Traffic is switched between environments to deploy new versions with zero downtime and instant rollback.
Why It Matters
Blue-green deployments originated in web infrastructure but are equally valuable in robotics. By maintaining two deployment groups, you can instantly roll back by switching traffic (or device assignments) back to the previous environment.
How Roboticks Implements It
Roboticks blue-green deployments split the fleet 50/50 between the current (blue) and new (green) versions. Health checks validate the green group before it receives the full fleet. Instant rollback is achieved by reverting device assignments to the blue group.
