Sim Minutes
The metered billing dimension for hosted simulator execution. Each tier includes a monthly allowance; overage is auto-billed at a per-minute rate via Stripe metered billing. Self-hosted runner time never consumes sim minutes.
Why It Matters
Robotics teams want to run more sim than they want to pay for a permanent GPU. Per-minute metering aligns the bill with actual usage; the customer is in control of whether they pay or self-host.
How Roboticks Implements It
sim_minutes_transaction model records each hosted-runner-second across the lifecycle of a job. sim_minutes_billing_service rolls these into Stripe metered usage records. Tier-level monthly allowances are visible in the Billing UI; auto-shutoff at 100% cap unless overage is enabled.
