EU Machinery Regulation 2023/1230
Regulation (EU) 2023/1230, replacing the 2006/42/EC Machinery Directive, applies from January 20, 2027. Brings cybersecurity, AI-system safety, and digital instructions into scope for machinery placed on the EU market. Conformity assessment now explicitly covers software updates and connected/learning machinery.
Why It Matters
The 2027 deadline is the proximate forcing function for robotics teams shipping into Europe. Compliance requires demonstrable verification evidence — exactly what Roboticks assembles. Non-compliance after the date means the machine cannot be CE-marked under the new framework.
How Roboticks Implements It
Roboticks doesn't certify compliance — that's the assessor's job. We help by providing the evidence pack the assessor expects: requirement-linked test coverage, MCAP recordings of safety-critical scenarios, SARIF static-analysis findings, SBOMs (CycloneDX), and a tamper-evident audit bundle.
