Two-part international standard for industrial-robot safety. Part 1 covers the robot itself; Part 2 covers the robot system, integration, and application. The 2025 revision includes collaborative-robot provisions and superseded ISO/TS 15066 in part.
Why It Matters
ISO 10218 is the baseline industrial-robot safety standard worldwide. EU machinery teams cite it as the harmonized standard for industrial robotics; US teams cite it via RIA-15.06. Compliance requires documented verification against the standard's safety requirements.
